Iron to Pittsburghers is typically beer, i.e. give me an Iron, to us it is the term of a Litho Press and a big one at that. We didn't just acquire just any old iron, we invested in quality - because we demand it and so do our customers. Our Heidelberg Speedmaster XL 105 7 unit press is the backbone of Reed & Witting Company. This press was installed when we moved to our new location in 2008 and has nearly doubled our speed and capabilities.

If speed excites you, then the XL will delight with a max speed of 18,000 sheets per hour. Our workhorse press and operator can make quick work of those 'rush' jobs! Coupled with the G7 certification, we can also hit the target colors faster - thus reducing the time and money needed for make-readies. This has the double punch of saving the environment and our client's money!

The XL 105 is equipped with (6) color units and (1) coating tower. It is also able to handle stocks up to 36 pt. Yes you read it right, 36 point board is able to be run through Reed & Witting Company's Litho Press. Oh and don't let point board be the only thing we can run. We also can print on synthetics!!!!

Synthetic stocks have become one of our specialties and are regularly run here at Reed & Witting. This was accomplished by a lot of research and development, which has been a huge part of our philosophy. This can be seen with our ability to print on synthetic materials to meet our customer's wants and needs in the ever-changing market. Synthetic stocks include high impact poly styrene, polyethylene, polypropylene, rigid vinyl, vinyl and even rock paper. We can print on white and clear too! This has opened a lot of new opportunities for our clients as they can now fully utilize all of the material out there for their projects.

We provided a short list of product ideas that we have run on the XL. The options are limitless.
